17 poems for Corporate Amerika
a little patriotic poetry
i did not write these poems about bushy boy, for george w. bush is unworthy, but rather his ilk. on a purely spiritual plane, we need to go ilk hunting. steven b. smith - januwary 1, 2005
Truth Truce
Get the truth
Get your red hot truths
Truths du jour
Truths of the day
Today's truth today
Your style of while
Your version emergin'
Too truths
Truce truths
Which truth you want
We got em all
Today's truth at today's price
For today's people
Step right up
Step right in it
kleenex xtra
Old wonders shrink, grow tame in time
The new fear hangs on
In quiet desperation, quit of desire
Like the shadow of a crowded
Culture in which each
Declare their innocence
In straight unfocused silence
It is there
The smell of unwashed
Dishes smug in the stench of our
Unclean shame
Like a salesman's underbreath
Fishy, stale
The deep teal, the tiled resonance
The promised land of milk and honey
Hides the men of scars and shame
Who came they say to slay their dragon
Yet slayed to stay the same
Sleep creeps like Jason's wool
Down shelf enchanted eyes
Devolved from Mammon's muse
These self selected wise
Inside their phantom rooms
In fairy tale castles
Devoid of viable dooms
As integrated assholes
They sway
Illusion's lies
O Red White and Blue-eyed Lady, I am
But a fey ray in the King Kong of your
Clutch, a dank doodle dandy, Jekyll haired
Hyde. For to spite your apple laid Annies,
Your tacky plastic seams of care slighted
Belly begetting sewer, catfish caul,
You fed my me my folly, bled my need
Of calling.
Beshat, of fox on Farley.
Old piano roll's wrong . . .
Slime can't slide.
Hot crotch coffee time's
Limited clearance
For the effluent affluent,
The halfway whores,
The herd nerd cud kultchur
And the old ass versus mass.
Psycho servitudes feed the fever,
Fodder optional.
Prime apes ape pre ape.
Mom's ashes my dust.
People getting fat,
Soft,
Old.
Luxury cushioned
Nurture negating nature.
Easy pickings,
Easy meat,
Easy feeding easy street.
Women leak,
Men bleed.
My country 'tis of greed,
Cleveland cop corruptus.
Onion nation bent
On killing shame.
Sodom insane.
Huddled beneath behind
Green metal stalls
The tile encrusted
Yellow, he sews an
Empty money bag
To his crotch, watches
His reflection mirrored
In regimented urinals
five six seven
Decaying down the wall
Cradling his existence
Fraying five to seven
In staid erotic fear
Small spider woven
Through uninforming ears
Tired of heaven he sews
His money to his crotch
He huddles
Our Public Servants
or
The needle men
the wee within
hides hollow
shadows small
Such slime
and sin
and grime
they grin
Much mock the moral mall
In greed they grip
the public tit
Lick all
the wrong behinds
The useless twits
with inbred wits
use farts
to fuel their minds
Call down rehearsed
their red tape curse
in girth
of unknown tome
Whine
why alone
Mime
no known tones
But worse
they ALL tell lies
Small signs of logic pool to larger sockets,
Sprocket rules of flow
Autumn snap cracks cross
Yes no boundary, now then grime
And the even Steven myth
Add in :
Coffee rotation
Bee pollen white crystal
Hotel Babylon
One million years TV
Suburban life half sounds
Fungus eyes
Hotdogs with blood and pus
Artists of perpetual perception
Fat bottom womyn in glass bottom boats
Nature and man gone wrong
And this war of little mist
And reefer sticks
Stones
The two soul sham
Of wham baam action ma'am
(long way virgin slim to glass ceiling fan)
This bad boy business nuzzles
Nose near own navel lint
Bug belly blood in amber
Waves of shame
Dinosaur dreg dynamo hum
Blood rough ready rumble
Reflecting clone,
Trade in tiny tins
Greyhound bound
To Tupperware City
Light like liquid Zen
Wars time, tatters tight
As tight asses tie
Meat neat man to kine, kino
Contempt of course
Playing Plato's barn
Blue bloods
Stabilize fish at 7
Mime the ma'am
Bamboo cathedrals
In wondrous disarray
Just outside real
Where the fat
Flee frantic
Fleece feed the poor
Competing EXIT signs
Dance specific disease
Rude crude
Plus tax
Bouncing Betty's
Slouching Bethlehem belly
Slips on guilt
& splinters.
